High Church Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do I secure my booking with High Church?
To confirm your booking a 50% deposit is required. Final 50% is then due 21 days prior to your event.
Can I supply my own catering?
High Church is managed by Fresh Events + People which own and operate Pure Catering. They will ensure a smoothly run, on time event. Please refer to the contact details on our website.
Can I supply my own beverage?
All alcohol for the premises is supplied and sold by Fresh Events + People and Pure Catering, we no longer offer BYO alcohol.
They offer competitive beverage packages, cash bars, beverages on consumption and bar tab options.
They also provide the flexibility to create a beverage package that suits the needs of your guests, please feel free to approach them with any creative ideas you may have and they will happily assist.
What is the capacity of the High Church?
High Church can accommodate 250 guests for a cocktail event and 120 for a sit down event. There are several space configurations available including a rooftop terrace and a separate bar area. Please ask, we’re happy to help.
Street parking is congested during business hours but after 5pm and on weekends it is more accessible. High Church has 3 carparks that can be used for designated guests, disabled guests etc. We can signpost these for you on request.
There is a loading zone directly opposite in Malt St for deliveries.
We also have the convenience of a car park only two blocks away from the High Church – Wilson’s Car Park – 394 Brunswick St, Fortitude Valley (Entry via Berwick Street) ph: 3233 0706 – Height 2.2m
Closing Times of the Venue?
Friday & Saturday nights it is by 11pm. We can organise express entry into venues around the Valley for the guests who want to continue on.
Monday to Thursday & Sunday nights by 10pm. Again for those who want to continue on then the Valley is your oyster.
Can we play music?
ALL entertainment must be from one of our entertainment suppliers. We need to be strict here because we have residential buildings close by. There is a Brisbane City Council designated sound limit and we must adhere to that. The volume is more than enough to have a great party while keeping the peace at High Church. There is NO amplified music allowed on the terrace only acoustic style music.
Do I need security?
Some large events may require professional security. High Church is located in the Fortitude Valley entertainment precinct. We have a security company on our preferred suppliers list that we highly recommend.
When can we access the venue to set up?
We can only guarantee access from the booked times. If you have stage, media or elaborate decorations please take into account the installation and removal of these. Extra time may need to be booked either side of your function and is charged at an hourly rate of $50.
